Jellyfish Surf Series

The Jellyfish Surf Series scores another great day of waves and surfing this past Monday in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Thanks to a large low-pressure system spinning off the coast we were treated to good waves all weekend long. On Monday morning we got set up and signed in over 140 kids. We are pretty sure that we won the mind surfing event after watching perfect peaks firing off the end of the pier all morning. The wind showed up later in the day but that didn’t stop the sets from stomping thru the lineup. Kids eating random stuff and doing crazy stuff for free stuff all day. In the water the action was on fire the kids were ripping.



In the Groms Division we butchered just about all of the kids names but Mike Ciarmella was butchering the waves forty two times as hard and that is why he ended up the Grom winner! He also took home a huge monster truck for his efforts! Taking second place and a huge bag of prizes was Christian Porter and the ever-stylish Jordan Beverly rounded out the third spot. Good Job Kids, see you at the Champs.



The Juniors division was stacked. This was a very fun final to watch and we can’t wait to see what these guys are gonna be doing in the next couple of years. Taking the win and the bragging rights for the next year was Mr. Rob Kelly. Landing in the second spot by a very near margin was last year’s winner Zach Humphreys. In the third place spot was Brendan Buckley followed by New York residents TJ Gumeila and Balaram Stack. Taking the last spot in the final was home boy Tommy Inken. Just Ripping!!!

The Chicks!! Once again a great turnout! Thanks again ladies!! Taking the top spot this year was the ever-graceful Kim Kepich! Taking second and a brand new Volclock Trophy was Carliegh Sion. Finishing in the third spot was Sarah Dodds. See you at the VQS Champs in May 2007!



The Pro-Am Final was a battle of epic proportions! Sam Hammer, Matt Keenan and Randy Townsend all fought hard but coming up with the win and $500 bucks was Sam Hammer! Coming in second on a count back was the always-smiling Matt Keenan, and Randy Townsend rounded out the third spot. Jamie Moran took fourth place and ended up giving us a show after the event was finished, he stayed out until dark getting tube after tube by himself. It’s safe to say he would have won the event if he would have been surfing like that in the Final.
