Last Friday night, the Volcomics artshow hit the Volcom store in Los Angeles for its first showing on the west coast. If you remember a few weeks ago, it was unleashed on New York City where a bunch of sweaty people crowded into a building and got the first glimpse of the comics and a showing by the artists involved.
Jim Phillips, VCJ, Matt French, Haculla, Mike Aho, Travis Millard, Mel Kadel, Todd Bratrud and a bunch of others had art up on the walls. Dustin Dollin and his crew were lurking, along with a steady flow of scantily-clad females and your run of the mill Hollywood types. The party went well into the night, with the help of DJ Wade and Neil Hamburger, who kept things lively when you weren't busy looking at the walls or into the bottom of your cup o' adult beverage.
If you missed out on this one, there's still a chance to get drunk on Volcom and buy one of the limited edition Jim Phillips/Matt French posters - but you'll have to get them at one of the future shows in London, San Fran or Tokyo. Check them out here.
