BACKCOUNTRY AWARENESSS

A replay of our LIVE interactive conversation with our panel of experienced professionals who between the four of them have a century of collective mountain experience to discuss safely navigating the backcountry.

Let's be real, backcountry and out of bounds, un-controlled snow sport popularity is on the exponential rise with more people going to get out after it in the hopes of scoring those coveted fresh conditions.

That's why we've got our Backcountry Awareness panelists, Bryan Iguchi, Pat Moore and Jeff Pensiero toshare the equipment they carry when venturing into the backcountry. With safety being the top concern when heading out-of-bounds into uncontrolled country, it's essential that you have the proper gear and the knowledge of what to do when faced with a potentially life and death situation.

During the filming of Holy Stokes! A Real Life Happening, Milton shattered his leg on a freak accident at the infamous Sunset Carwash. Milton spent a good part of that year recovering, which during that time, his daughter Isa moved to the States, motivating him to come back even stronger and determined. Over the years Milton spent many miles on the road with the Thrasher Magazine crew and after Jake Phelp’s passing, Jake’s name appeared on the infamous Carwash spot. While in Los Angeles filming for his part he saw Jakes name on the spot and immediately climbed up to get redemption on the spot in Jake’s honor! Moments later he was rolling away, claiming “that one was for Jake!” The clip went viral on Instagram, like most of Milton’s footage and to highlight all of it, we put together a compilation of all the clips that have been posted of Milton in 2019 that you can view below!
